Concept Taxonomy¶
This taxonomy organizes the 100 mountainash-treespec concepts into 9 categories.
Categories¶
FOUND — Foundation Concepts¶
Prerequisites: hierarchical data, relational tables, decomposition, Python dataclasses, protocols, Polars, PyArrow, keys.
SPEC — Spec Model¶
TreeSpec, NodeSpec, ChildSpec, RoutingConfig, BatchingConfig, DedupConfig — the declarative specification layer.
FLAT — Flatten Engine¶
TreeFlattener tree-to-table walk with field extraction, inline/separate/routed child dispatch, key propagation, naming.
BUILD — Build Engine¶
TreeBuilder table-to-tree reconstruction via FK pre-indexing, inverse walk, handler-based construction.
BATCH — Batch Processing¶
BatchFlattener/BatchBuilder for multi-file processing with source columns, concat, dedup, partition keys.
SCHEMA — Schema Handling¶
SchemaHandler protocol, SchemaFieldInfo, registry-based format dispatch, FieldSpec conversion.
FMT — Format Handlers¶
Five format handlers: JSON/Dataclass, XML/xsdata, Protobuf, Pydantic, Avro — each implementing SchemaHandler.
TYPES — Type System¶
UniversalType enum bridging Python, xsdata, and PyArrow types via type_mapping and Arrow schema builder.
HOOKS — Hooks System¶
HookRegistry with condition, field_transform, pre_flatten, and post_build decorator-based hooks.
